Bits of Pink

bhg

All of these rooms feature bits of PINK. Simply smashing, especially with natural elements
of wood and earth tones. I must indulge somehow.

Chaotic Color

While I love a beautiful white, restful room/outfit/style, either in modern, urban farmhouse or shabby glory... the chaotic color vibe pulls me in, at least for a little while. Just long enough to get my toes wet in something eclectic, before I retreat back into sterile, predictable comfort. I think I get whip lash changing back and forth, so while my slipcovers went back on today, I felt drawn to these photos. Just like this lovely home above of jeanhclee. For some reason, I'm sensing a familiar color pattern of pinks, oranges and greens. Bright colors have a jolt of energy to them, you know? Perhaps my body is clinging to these sprightly images as a subconscious way to burst me out of this crazy, stressful fog I've been subjected to lately.

Inspired Color: Grey and Pink

Not surprisingly, I've been attracted to grey again. But instead of my yellow/gray fascination, it's come to pink and flesh tones pairings. A perfect summery treat for the ladies and gents such as myself, who shy away from loud colors and keep to the shadowy confines of familiar and flattering gray, whilst grabbing pops of pinks. Interestingly enough, florals also start to show up when I gravitate toward this color combination.

the home of Jane Atla. I am just loving this chair. All boringified revamped in doilies, paint and embroidery.

I don't know who makes these epic floral tights, but I am quite desperate for a pair. Any ideas?

Naturally Blue

With blue being such a cool color, it always looks so lovely paired with fellow cools in whites and soft greys. I know blue really shines when paired with oranges, reds and yellows, but sometimes, that may feel just too 'loud'. I really love seeing a gentle, subdued warmth infused in these blue accented rooms through soft amber and wood tones along with the crisp beauty of white. Each room has distinct natural and organic accessories, from sisal rugs, antlers, or flowering branches. Touches of the outdoors help to cozy up a space that may feel too stuffy or contrived. When a room just doesn't seen to click, remove one glassy/iron/electronic/fake thing add some type of an organic fiber... and allow the space to breathe.

Color Theory~ Loving Pink

we heart it

Now, I'm not a huge pink person, but when I get involved with a color, I love to see it for all
of the possibilities of it's uses, then fall in love with each one. And today, I'm smitten with pink.
The way it is found in nature, in skin tones, forced into rooms and sweets.
Bending it's gender in interior design and even it's shade of rosiness and tone.
Used in romance, design, fashion, cosmetics, interiors, everyday accents of home and even humor...

 funky trend

If you aren't into pink, try a simple pink flower arrangement, a pink brooch, a pink cupcake, or even... paint your nails pink. I haven't painted my nails for 3 1/2 years,
until Sunday... and what color did I choose? Pink! It made me feel refreshed.
