Homefront: Fall Mantel

I'm joining up with Nester's Fall Mantel (Fantel) Linky Party today. Because I did this in a rush, I feel it's too cluttered, but that's alright, I will be changing it Halloween style in about week anyways. So be sure to visit back for that.

I'm not liking the bird, but I love the pine cones, mostly because we have collected them fresh from our new yard, and I've always wanted to do that. I plan to make a garland out of them, maybe for Christmas. This rosemary plant needs to be re-potted, but it smells so nice, and can't wait to use it in my roasted potatoes.

Opinion needed. The "window" mirror is actually black, I placed an empty shabby white frame in front. Should I leave the white frame there, or does the black frame look best? Thanks!

I love the white accents of the carriage and the little pumpkin. I don't think you need the white frame for more punch, but it could go either way.

I have a hard time believing you have this fall mantel and then also a halloween one! How many do you have for the whole year?

I like the white frame on the mirror. I think it gets a little lost when it's just black. And the pinecones are the prefect finishing touch.

Found you on the Nesting Place. I love the window mirror (wirror? mindow?), and think it looks more fall-ish without the white. The frame makes it feel like summer to me.

All good points ladies! I think I'll remove the white frame.

I have many many mantle scapes... I change it up every couple of weeks, Bethany :) Lets just say, I bore easily.

The mantel looks great. I'm not sure what the thing is that looks exactly like Cinderella's pumpkin carriage, but I'm a fan of it. It is very pretty.
