Branching Out

branch montage fine art print ~ a wild goose chase

I'm not sure if it's the bare trees all around my yard, or the feeling of scaling down and wanting to declutter and destress, but these branchy pics I've had saved in my files for some times have really struck a cord today.

Color Theory~ Loving Pink

we heart it

Now, I'm not a huge pink person, but when I get involved with a color, I love to see it for all
of the possibilities of it's uses, then fall in love with each one. And today, I'm smitten with pink.
The way it is found in nature, in skin tones, forced into rooms and sweets.
Bending it's gender in interior design and even it's shade of rosiness and tone.
Used in romance, design, fashion, cosmetics, interiors, everyday accents of home and even humor...

 funky trend

If you aren't into pink, try a simple pink flower arrangement, a pink brooch, a pink cupcake, or even... paint your nails pink. I haven't painted my nails for 3 1/2 years,
until Sunday... and what color did I choose? Pink! It made me feel refreshed.

Paper Christmas Trees

Isn't this scrapbook paper Christmas tree darling? You can make it any color or size you want! Tutorial and patterns here by Red Velvet Girls.

Another cute and easy tree by Melissa Goodsell. She used Lily's tutorial which can be found here.

Taylor Design has this super adorable curled paper Christmas tree tutorial. Oh, I can imagine lots of glitter on the edges of those little curls, can you?

Bella Dia has some cute paper stacking Christmas trees. Love her color choices.

She used the same pattern for these fabric versions made by Sarah at the small object. awe!

It would be cute to make a whole shelf of these trees in different styles and display them all over for your own little village. Isn't paper the greatest invention, like... ever?
