Inspired Home: Table Tonic

I'm loving Louise's blog, Table Tonic right now. From her health food/juicing kick to her lovely home and online shop, there is a little bit of it all.

I love her colorful, clean simple lines approach to style.

And if I wasn't already married, I would want to marry this sofa.

Mustard. On a stool, one of my favorite colors. She even painted her front door this color. Adore.

I love how the acrylic barstools have a clean and uncluttered appeal. I could so use that. Wouldn't it be great to have a clear spray paint?!

More feather juju hat ideas and a tutorial on making one here via nester. Or purchase from Louise here.

Wonders of the Earth

I am feeling very autumnal today. Warm, muted colors of the earth, connected to nature. Feeling appreciative of God's creations and the humble beauty that man can create with them.  Listening to the 179th Semiannual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints broadcast from Saturday and today, the messages of beauty, love and inspiration, mercy and hope, warning and council, the beautiful music of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir that speaks to my soul, feeling the Spirit of the Lord and the love from the great women and men of God, and their wise and loving council. Things to reflect upon. Changes to make. Clutter to manage. Leaves to gather. Kisses to give. Acorn squash to bake. Cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Loving Savior and Heavenly Father to thank. It's going to be a good day.

Mobile Finery. Hanging by a Thread

Mobiles. Gravity gracing, trinket laden, movable works of kinetic whimsy. They can be modern in design, vintage or organic. They can be colorful for use in nurseries or playrooms, or elegant enough for a centerpiece in a living room. They can be romantic and serene for a bedroom, or cluttered and crazy for a craft room. They can be a sophisticated and intricate piece of art, or a quick kid friendly craft.

You can purchase one made from specialty materials and expert craftsmanship, or you can create your own using bits of fabric or lace, tiny treasures, craft or homemade birds and nests, feathers, seashells, antique spoons, tiny bones, paper butterflies, paper anything, origami, glittered stars, photographs, fishing line, ribbon, embroidery hoops, wire, twigs. (Three tutorials in this post alone!) I have seen them in many themes, cars, flowers, magic shows, circus, sewing room, holiday, retro kitchen...

What a better way to enhance a corner with a grouping of lovely and little items? In the world of mobiles, the sky is the limit, truly. Even more mobile hangery ideas here at sew mama sew.  I know what I will be doing this weekend. Ready, Set, Collect!
